Yes, we are alive.

Hello blogger friends! Sorry we have been such bad bloggers since we came home. It has been a little crazy since we have been back. For some stupid reason, Jeff and I thought that we would have tons of free time during the one month (March) that we were both taking off. We thought we would accomplish huge projects, redo rooms in the house, and win the Parents of the Year award. After all, HOW HARD CAN IT BE TO WATCH A FIFTEEN MONTH OLD LITTLE ANGEL BOY. Yes, Jeff and I were a little naive. March went fast and we laugh at how stupid we were.

Tyler is such a joy but he is also one very active little boy. He has been keeping Jeff and I jumping. We did not get any major projects done and every night when we collapse into bed, we wonder what we actually did all day. We are clearly on Tyler time. Everyday has been great and our son amazes us constantly. He is walking and his first words were "tickle . . . tickle". At first we thought he wasn’t tickle-ish but than we figured out that since he was in hospital that there was a good chance that no one had ever tickled him. He is always smiling and laughing. Just saying tickle tickle sends him into belly laughs. He loves our huge dog. Tyler spends hours walking around and babbling to himself. Jeff and I are so thankful for him, he is truly a gift and while everyone says how lucky he is, we feel like we are the lucky ones.

We are attaching some pictures. Our plan is to print out the blog and add it to Tyler’s life book, however, we are not going to be adding to the blog. Jeff is now back to work and I go next month.

A special thanks to our families, friends, neighbors and bloggerland for helping us through the most challenging and rewarding time of all lives. Just for the record, this is truly a story in which the main characters live happily ever after.

Maria, Jeff and Tyler

It is about time you updated, but I am sad that your blog is over. He is precious. Maybe, I should bring my kids over there for a talking lesson. Mine just wont talk. Call me soon.

No sitting on the couch eating bon bons watching The Price is Right while he takes his 2 hour scheduled nap in the morning and the same in the afternoon??? Welcome to the ever so wonderful world (and I do mean that) of parenthood! He's even grown since we saw you a few weeks ago. Lexi wants to go to Russia to see Tyler. I told her we could see him and we don't have to even go that far! Good luck heading back to work. That will be tough but it will make your time together that much more special. Lets do another playdate soon!
